This Privacy Policy explains how Bermer Software Pvt Ltd collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Bermer Owner mobile app or merchant web experience. Bermer Owner helps merchants register stores, manage products, receive customer orders, update locations, coordinate fulfilment, and operate local commerce workflows.
Information We Collect
- Account and contact information, such as your name, mobile number, email address, OTP login details, account identifiers, session tokens, and optional profile details.
- Store and merchant information, such as store name, business category, descriptions, opening hours, support contact number, store address, service area, approval status, and operational preferences.
- Catalog and media information, such as products, prices, availability, customization options, images, documents, uploaded files, and metadata used to display and manage your store.
- Order and fulfilment information, such as incoming orders, order status, customer instructions, fulfilment updates, cancellation records, support records, and store-side order history.
- Location information, including store location, service area, approximate or precise location used for store setup, and live location data for moving shops when you enable that feature.
- Notification and device information, including push notification tokens, device identifiers generated by the app, operating system, app version, browser details, and diagnostic events used to keep the service reliable.
- Payment, settlement, and compliance-related information where supported by the service, such as transaction references, payout status, invoices, tax or business records, and documents needed to operate stores and resolve disputes.
- Support communications and operational records when you contact us or when platform administrators help resolve account, store, order, payment, safety, or compliance issues.
How We Use Information
- To create, verify, and secure merchant accounts.
- To register stores, review store details, manage store approvals, and keep store profiles accurate.
- To display catalogs, prices, product availability, store hours, store locations, and order fulfilment options to customers.
- To process orders, support requests, fulfilment updates, refunds, payouts, settlements, and order lifecycle notifications.
- To support live moving-shop location features when you choose to use them.
- To send OTP, order, store, support, safety, and service notifications.
- To detect, prevent, and investigate misuse, fraud, unauthorized access, policy violations, safety incidents, or technical issues.
- To maintain, debug, secure, and improve Bermer Owner and the Bermer platform.
Location Data
Bermer Owner may use location permissions to set or update store locations, calculate service areas, show stores to nearby customers, and support live tracking for moving shops. Location is used only when you grant permission, enter an address, or enable location-based store features. You can turn off location permissions in your device or browser settings, but store setup, nearby visibility, and moving-shop features may not work as expected.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as needed for the service, including with:
- Customers, riders, delivery networks, and platform operations users who need store, catalog, order, address, or fulfilment status information for an active workflow.
- Service providers that help us host infrastructure, send OTPs and notifications, provide maps, store files, process analytics, maintain security, process payments, or provide support.
- Government, law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other parties when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and platform integrity.
Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Bermer Owner, maintain operational and financial records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements. You may request account or data deletion, subject to records we must retain for legal, safety, security, payment, tax, settlement, or dispute-resolution reasons.
Your Choices
- You can update certain account, store, product, preference, and notification information in the app where those controls are available.
- You can disable push notifications, media access, file access, or location permissions from your device or browser settings.
- You can request access, correction, deletion, or support for your data by contacting us.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No internet or mobile service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please keep your device, OTPs, and account access safe.
Children
Bermer Owner is intended for merchants and business users who can lawfully use the service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
